Christian Pulisic is not enjoying his football at the moment, with the AC Milan forward struggling clearly. Against Juventus, his decline was clearer than ever.
There is so much surrounding Pulisic at the moment that it is difficult to really assess him and his situation. In the simplest terms, he is without a goal in 16 Serie A games, there is no sign of that changing and his contract is up next summer.
Ultimately, his stock has never been lower. It is the most difficult period of his Milan career so far, bar none, and chances to turn things around are becoming more limited with each game that passes.
Pulisic ‘the worst’
With each game too, expectations for him to turn things round are greater and it just adds to the pressure which he is very clearly feeling. After all, Massimiliano Allegri described the star as ‘sensitive’ post game, so it is having an effect on his performances.
Speaking to Sky Sport after the game, Billy Costacurta offered his view on the American’s performance and he did not hold back, as MilanNews relays.
“Pulisic’s worst game today. The two up front helped each other and barely understood each other. Pulisic was the worst on the pitch today. Leao? He still doesn’t convince me. I don’t know what else to add.
“I see him trying every now and then, but very few things come out, and above all, we’re wondering why Milan has to drop so deep, why they don’t defend with 11 men. When the ball is in the opponents’ hands, not everyone runs, and Leao is the one who does it the least.”

Let’s be honest, Bartesaghi was worst. Then Fofana and then Pulisic. Remember the run Puli did in the 1st half where he fought against 3 Juve players and kept the ball for surprisingly long time and almost managed to break through them only to notice the closest Milan player was like 20m away from him and the rest even further. That sums up the help he’s getting from his teammates. 🤷♂️
Yeah, it’s always someone else to blame…if he wrote this about Fofana or Leao you’d write how right he is. 😂😂😂
you’re spot on bro
You can’t expect better from him. Not his fault.
Puli can run all he wants, but this isn’t track & field. There’s hasn’t been any end products to all his running in a long while…
Le porteur d’eau.
this is savage response lol @but this isn’t track & field
Yeah, you’re right and Leao is a great example. With his sprinter physique and stamina he’s pretty much a fish out of water in this game of football. He should train like a footballer and play like a footballer. That’s the problem.
You can’t play football professionally if you only make 2-3 sprints per match.
Have to agree with Billy. Not just on Pulisic either. Leao is unconvincing an awful lot of the time but he does at least have another level when he is interested.
That’s why Spalletti paid so much attention on one player that unconvincing player in your opinion and care less about others. Do you know why?
Yes. He has another level, when he’s interested. It’s all in my 1st comment.
If you think Leao is playing at the level he should be on a consistent basis, I have some magic beans that may interest you.
