Criscitiello critical of Milan Futuro project including ‘terrible’ Camarda management

Sportialia director Michele Criscitiello has gone on the offensive again when it comes to matters connected to AC Milan, this time taking aim at the Milan Futuro project.

There was a lot of excitement about Milan’s second team that launched this summer, but they have run into some early difficulties in terms of obtaining results. Last Saturday, newly promoted Pianese beat Milan Futuro which means that they are second from bottom in the table, with the worst attack.

The project has as its priority the developments of young players rather than the results obtained, so head coach Daniele Bonera is not at risk for now, but there are various things to resolve as we highlighted in a recent tactical analysis.

Criscitiello has been vocal about his dislike of Serie A clubs having second teams in Serie C, and in his latest editorial for Sportitalia he heavily criticised Milan for their ‘Futuro’ project, suggesting it is far from obtaining the desired effects.

“Milan started with a project in a hurry and from the name down they got everything wrong. Brand: Milan Futuro, you can’t read or hear it,” he said.

“The management of Camarda is terrible. He doesn’t play in Serie A or even Serie C. Like burning a boy. The team has been entrusted to a coach who had never coached before and the position in the table is as bad as the performances.

“The real problem is that these big clubs don’t know the level and believe that playing in Serie C is a walk in the park. OK, let’s put Montero or Bonera on the bench, it’s the third division. Instead, in Lega Pro there are coaches who could easily coach in Serie A and Serie B.”

      1. There is the bff of Zlatan that he hired from LA Galaxy.

I don’t follow Futuro but it seems that again the management wasted time and money all summer to bring a bunch of cheap guys with an unproven coach and the results are lousy.

  1. The main issue with Futuro is that many of our players have been dealing with injuries, so the young talent is in limbo. They can’t play for Futuro because they are being called up to the first team. All the team needs is consistency, and then the team will be able to survive and thrive.
