MEN: Milan weighed up Ronaldo attempt in case of Leao leaving for Chelsea – the situation

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan could have explored a move for Cristiano Ronaldo on deadline day if Rafael Leao were to have headed for Chelsea, a report claims.

According to a Manchester Evening News report, Chelsea are in discussions to sign Leao and ‘there is some theorising in the industry’ that the Rossoneri could move for Cristiano Ronaldo if they were to lose his compatriot.

Ronaldo would be more than open to joining the Rossoneri compared to some of the other teams that have been linked because they are the Italian champions, have an immense European pedigree and are a fashionable city.

However, Erik Ten Hag said United were planning for Ronaldo to stay and as such it seems that no move away from Old Trafford will materialise. In addition to that, Leao is going nowhere either unless a club offers an astronomical amount, which could even be rejected given the limited time left in the window.

  1. we should go for him anyways, for the RW

    I’d take that!

  2. Lol yeah no. Why would Milan chase Ronaldo who asked for salary higher than the entire team? Doesn’t makes sense.

I feel these news about Milan wants Ronaldo and sell Leao is pumped out by Mendez. The guy is the new Raiola.

  3. No thank you. Milan’s strength is that they have a good group of young players that believe in each other and play as a unit along with some good veteran leaders like Ibra and Giroud. Ronaldo is not a leader, he’s always been a selfish player and not good for the locker room. Not to mention his ridiculous salary. I don’t know how Milan could justify that. Also I think Ibra would kill him.

  4. I could have stopped watching football if Milan had recruited Ronaldo.
We have giroud and Ibra, no sense of old, complaining Ronaldo with heavy salary.
We have a good mix of Experience and young in the team already, we will miss our style of play and fluidity with Ronaldo.
We are a bigger than him, so we don’t need him.
