MEN: Milan weighed up Ronaldo attempt in case of Leao leaving for Chelsea – the situation

AC Milan could have explored a move for Cristiano Ronaldo on deadline day if Rafael Leao were to have headed for Chelsea, a report claims.

According to a Manchester Evening News report, Chelsea are in discussions to sign Leao and ‘there is some theorising in the industry’ that the Rossoneri could move for Cristiano Ronaldo if they were to lose his compatriot.

Ronaldo would be more than open to joining the Rossoneri compared to some of the other teams that have been linked because they are the Italian champions, have an immense European pedigree and are a fashionable city.

However, Erik Ten Hag said United were planning for Ronaldo to stay and as such it seems that no move away from Old Trafford will materialise. In addition to that, Leao is going nowhere either unless a club offers an astronomical amount, which could even be rejected given the limited time left in the window.
