A CSKA Moscow official has given the latest update on Milan target Nikola Vlasic, insisting the right bid has not yet arrived for the playmaker.
Vlasic continues to be heavily linked with a move to Milan as the management’s hunt for an attacking midfielder continues, with Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara looking for the right player to compliment Brahim Diaz and replace Hakan Calhanoglu.
A variety of profiles have been linked from Isco of Real Madrid to Josip Ilicic of Atalanta and Hakim Ziyech of Chelsea, but it is Vlasic of CSKA that continues to dominate the headlines. MilanLive writes that the 23-year-old Croatian would like to join the Rossoneri right away, but his club wants €25-30m from his sale and a loan with obligation to buy.
Now,the general manager of CSKA Moscow – Roman Babayev – has confirmed Nikola Vlasic’s desire to move to a more competitive league but insisted the conditions are not right to sell just yet.
“Vlašić has outlined his position, he wants to play in European competitions but wanting such an opportunity and having it are two different things,” he said.
“The club should receive a worthy offer but it has not yet arrived. The interest was there and is still there, but there is no offer suitable for the club.”
