Carlos Cuesta is still early in his journey as a head coach, but he is dreaming of a big scalp at San Siro against AC Milan this evening.

Cuesta’s side caused problems for Milan earlier in the season as they came from 2-0 down to earn a draw in Parma. Massimiliano Allegri’s men are out for a bit of revenge therefore, knowing that they need to win in order to keep pace with Inter too, and open an 11-point gap to fifth.

As reported in Corriere dello Sport’s (via MilanPress) preview this morning, Parma will see the game against Milan as a bit of a free hit thanks to the 29 points already secured, which leaves them feeling confident about staying up.

The 2-2 draw in the first meeting undoubtedly sets off alarm bells for Milan, while it should boost Parma’s belief. The Spanish coach will have to do without the suspended Circati in defence, while in midfield it’s an open battle between Nicolussi Caviglia and Sorensen.

The two forwards in the 3-5-2 will be Mateo Pellegrino and Gabriel Strefezza. Among the Gialloblu players, Primavera defender Mena Martinez will also be making his first appearance on the bench. It will likely become a 5-3-2 out of possession, in an attempt to frustrate Milan’s forward play.
