The Curva Sud Milano have announced their plans for Sunday’s derby match against Inter, given there will be no spectators allowed in the stadium.
It will be a sorry sight to see one of the biggest games between the two sides in years played without the two legendary sets of ultras, but that hasn’t stopped the Rossoneri’s group from coming up with a way to support the team.
The Curva Sud Milano have announced that they still want to express their support for Stefano Pioli’s team and in an official press release they confirmed their plans.
“For exactly one year we have been far from our team, our stadium, our Curva and this is proving to be a very heavy absence for the players who, despite this distance, have honoured our jersey to the full,” the statement begins.
“We have been following Milan from home in front of the TV for a year but this will never be our place. Our place is only the one from which we can transmit emotions to the team, the one from which we can drag it and push it to attack, the one towards which every Milan player can look up and proudly admire the fire and flames of our love for the Diavolo.
“Our place is the Curva Sud. For obvious reasons we can’t go back yet, but we can do one thing: meet on Sunday at 12:30 at San Siro in front of gate 14.
“We will be there to greet the team on the bus that will pass under the Sud and to load up our players for a decisive derby.
Bring a flag, a scarf, whatever it takes to create that creepy folklore that AC Milan players have not seen for too long.
“It is time to give a signal, to show the children our closeness and our love that these difficult months have not in the least affected. It is time to let the players know that WE are with them and never as in this circumstance will a massive, compact and colourful presence be important on our part.
“It is time to remind everyone, on the most important day, which is the best ultras group in Italy and the real ultras Curva of Milan: for this reason we find ourselves in front of gate 14 with the same enthusiasm that we bring to the Sud, as if we were in our curva ready to crush the worms in front of us.
“Many, united, strong and with the Devil in their bodies:
for US and for our Milan! AVANTI CURVA SUD!”
