The AC Milan ultras were forced to change plans this weekend, thanks to a new ban from the authorities. However, the decision has probably given the display more attention.
Ahead of the game, reports emerged, stating that the Curva Sud were informed on Thursday that the ‘Sodalizio Rossonero’ banner would not be allowed to enter San Siro. Whilst nothing is known about the decision, it is believed to be an order from the Prosecutor’s Office.

It seemed that the situation had quietened a little, so this measure was a bit of a shock, with it even seeming like the supporters may protest the decision. Instead, they came together to form an innovative display.
Replacement for the derby
Rather than having a physical banner, the Curva made themselves the display, raising their phone torches, as could be seen before the game started.
As Gazzetta dello Sport writes, it was a way to make themselves seen whilst they faced a new set of restrictions. ‘Sodalizio’ was shown across the section of the stadium, whilst the group also protested the decision outside the ground.
Some believe there was also a nod to Inter’s 5-0 defeat in the Champions League final at the start of the message. Whether that was the case is unknown, and many are left thinking what could have been if tifo were allowed.
It’s not just spelt “SODALIZO” it’s spelt out “50dalizo” as in “5-0-dalizo”, the curva gave a “gift” to inter and their fans from that famous PSG meeting. I’m loving it.
