According to MilanNews, there will be a display just before the match against Newcastle United that will not only involve the Curva Sud in the second tier behind the goal but rather the entire stadium.
The Curva Sud Milano Instagram profile reports these instructions: “When the speaker counts down, open the coloured plastic sheet tied to your seat, holding it taut with two hands. Put your phones in your pockets and keep the sheets raised until the end of the ‘Champions anthem’.”
It will be similar to the games against Tottenham, Napoli and Inter in the knockout stages of the last edition of the tournament, where in the home legs the ultras prepared displays that took hours to set up and covered over 70,000 seats.
Meanwhile, the same source report that many are still queuing at the Casa Milan ticket office to purchase the last tickets available for this evening’s match against Newcastle, where around 65,000 spectators are expected.
