The Curva Sud couldn’t resist a chance to have a dig at their city rivals after their Champions League final defeat against Manchester City with their pre-derby display.
Inter got the better of Milan in the semi-finals but – unlike when the Rossoneri beat the Nerazzurri in 2003 – they were unable to go on and finish the job in Turkey.
Just before kick-off, the Curva revealed a display with the banner ‘Circus Internazionale’, poking fun at their defeat in June.

5-1. I’ll mention this on every single article praising RLC, Reijnders and Krunic. What a waste of money and of the whole season.
RLC was okay. The other two were crap. Reijnders gets a pass because he came from a weak league. Krunic shouldn’t be starting for a team like Milan.
The biggest issue between the scudetto season, last year and this year is the strength of our midfield defensively. We never replaced Kessie and then sold Tonali. They were HUGE links covering our stellar defense that season.
It really shows in this game.
