The Curva Sud sang a message of support to the AC Milan players after they were knocked out of the Champions League in the semi-finals by city rivals Inter.
As reported by Milan News, the fans decided not to publicly express anger with the team after what was another disappointing performance.
The Curva Sud held talks with the squad after the defeat to Spezia last weekend and the players may well have feared something similar when the full-time whistle went on Tuesday night after a 1-0 defeat.
Instead, the Curva Sud sang ‘we are always with you’ to the team, showing some form of appreciation for the way that the team approached the second leg.
Apart from a clear chance for Brahim Diaz early in the game, the Rossoneri failed to create much in the way of clear-cut chances and Inter’s progression to the final never really seemed to be in doubt.
The real fans are still with this squad. Says it all.
