Daily Mail: No Milan or Spurs move for German international as he is set for Chelsea stay

There looks set to be no deadline day move to AC Milan or in fact any club for Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger, a journalist claims.

Going into deadline day, Milan know they need a centre-back before the window closes at 20:00 CEST given that they currently have only two healthy players in that particular department.

A move for Ozan Kabak of Schalke was ruled out earlier in the day and bids for Mohamed Simakan of Strasbourg have reportedly been rejected, so the name of Antonio Rudiger remained on the table.

However, according to Sami Mockbel of the Daily Mail, Rudiger is now destined to stay at Chelsea. The former Roma man will now focus on trying to work his way back into Frank Lampard’s first team plans so it is not a wasted few months between now and January.

It comes amid reports linking Rudiger with a move to Spurs and also to his old club Roma as a potential alternative to Chris Smalling.
