CM: D’Alessio recovers from eye issue and can resume dream of reaching first team

By Oliver Fisher -

The positive news arrived yesterday that Leonardo D’Alessio returned to the disposal of Milan Primavera boss Ignazio Abate.

Via a statement on the club’s official website back in August, Milan confirmed that D’Alessio had sustained a ‘serious but rare’ eye issue, and it meant that he had to be kept under watch at the San Raffaele hospital in Milan with a recovery time of six months.

Calciomercato.com confirm that yesterday it was announced D’Alessio has recovered from the issue and now Abate can embrace one of the most highly-rated talents in their youth sector, after he arrived from Roma in the summer.

At a club other than the Rossoneri his eye problem could have spelled a premature end to his career, but the teenager didn’t give up, worked hard, took care of himself and is now back at the club’s disposal.

He has ambitious dreams starting with winning a place as the right-back for the Primavera side, and then making his way into the plans of the first team.
