DAZN: Milan make new inquiry about Valencia midfielder after January interest

By Isak Möller -

AC Milan are looking to bolster the team with a defensive midfielder this summer and although Youssous Fofana is the primary target, his arrival isn’t certain. As such, according to a report, the Rossoneri have also enquired about a Valencia midfielder.

Defensive balance was a big problem for Milan last season and as a result, they conceded a whopping 49 goals in the league. This is far too many for a club like the Rossoneri, at least if they actually want to compete with Inter for the Scudetto.

Therefore, Fofana has been the main target to reinforce the midfield all summer, but Monaco are playing hardball on the price. This has inevitably forced the Rossoneri to scan the market for other targets, as they always want to have a plan B in place.

According to the DAZN journalist Orazio Accomando, Milan have made a new inquiry about Valencia’s Javi Guerra after expressing their interest during the January transfer window. The Rossoneri wanted to find out more about the club’s request, as well as the will of the player.

The 21-year-old made 40 appearances for Valencia last season and as mentioned, Milan expressed their interest already during the January window.

    1. Where is Furlani with all this non action in negotiation to sign the right DM.
Someone should tell Furlani that Fofana was and is the right DM for Milan to sign so why have you not signed him?
Instead looking someone who is not a proper DM?
How Furlani are you expect to catch Inter on the pitch when being second best on the pitch and at the negotiation table?
Watch this spot because Furlani and side kick Moncada will stuff up Samardzic deal as well.
We expect the signing of Samardzic, but he won’t be coming because of Furlani and Moncada at the negotiation table!

  1. If we are looking at this sort of profile why not go for Matteo Prati, a proper DM, young, Serie A experienced and Italian ??!! and also not expensive….there is also Luca Lipani, young up and coming DM, again not cheap and fits the moneyball profile….and Italian ??

  2. We are saving 5-10 perhaps 15 million on a much needed DM.

How much are we loosing in points?

Sometimes it cost money to make money.

Clowns to the left, idiots to the right, stuck in the middle with ACM.

    1. We did though and it was one of the highest in the last 10 or so years. Banter era level of defence but “last summer was a success” apparently. The backline didn’t change, the midfield did last year. It’s painfully obvious even with 120m+ spent that they didn’t fix the one area we needed the most.
