DAZN: Milan make new inquiry about Valencia midfielder after January interest

AC Milan are looking to bolster the team with a defensive midfielder this summer and although Youssous Fofana is the primary target, his arrival isn’t certain. As such, according to a report, the Rossoneri have also enquired about a Valencia midfielder.

Defensive balance was a big problem for Milan last season and as a result, they conceded a whopping 49 goals in the league. This is far too many for a club like the Rossoneri, at least if they actually want to compete with Inter for the Scudetto.

Therefore, Fofana has been the main target to reinforce the midfield all summer, but Monaco are playing hardball on the price. This has inevitably forced the Rossoneri to scan the market for other targets, as they always want to have a plan B in place.

According to the DAZN journalist Orazio Accomando, Milan have made a new inquiry about Valencia’s Javi Guerra after expressing their interest during the January transfer window. The Rossoneri wanted to find out more about the club’s request, as well as the will of the player.

The 21-year-old made 40 appearances for Valencia last season and as mentioned, Milan expressed their interest already during the January window.
