It has not been an ideal first season for Charles De Ketelaere at AC Milan so far, but he is expected to get another chance from the first minute tomorrow.
According to this morning’s edition of Corriere dello Sport (via MilanNews), Milan boss Stefano Pioli is expected to heavily rotate the team in view of the return leg of the Champions League quarter-final tie against Napoli on Tuesday.
That means De Ketelaere in all likelihood will have the possibility to start at the Stadio Renato Dall’Ara against Bologna. The Belgian hasn’t been in the starting XI for 40 days, with the defeat away against Fiorentina the last time he got the nod.
The game against the Rossoblu provides the 22-year-old with another opportunity to get the ball rolling against the team that were the opponents when he got an assist for Rafael Leao earlier in the season, which remains his only goal contribution.
Give him 100 more chances. Results will be the same.
I guess finishing in the top 4 isn’t that important after all.
