Charles De Ketelaere managed to find the back of the net against his former side, AC Milan, but it wasn’t without controversy. Indeed, the Rossoneri argued that it should have been a foul, something the Belgian doesn’t agree with.
The Belgian playmaker opened the scoring with a powerful header after 12 minutes, beating Theo Hernandez in the aerial duel. Milan immediately ran over to the referee as their former player quite clearly used his arms to keep the Frenchman down.
Speaking to Sky Italia after the game, as transcribed by MilanNews, De Ketelaere shared his thoughts on the goal and whether it should have been a foul or not. Going against the referee experts, he stated that it was never a foul.
“We have the confidence that we can win in every match, you can see it on the pitch even against this very strong Milan. The goal? They protested but I got up high and of course, I had my hands there. For me, it was never a foul,” he stated.
Either way, foul or not, Milan should have done a lot better especially in the second half as they allowed Atalanta to be the more dangerous side. Indeed, the Rossoneri had two shots on target and both came in the first half.
Oh fk off.
Poetic justice I say! Lol
Enjoy your moment cdk you scored against us foul or no foul we deserved the result..its plain simple we were horrible that’s it….
Foul or no foul, doesn’t change the fact that he was a corpse during his spell here. He came in a team that had just won the scudetto and the atmosphere was mostly positive at least until the winter World Cup. He couldn’t kick the ball properly, despite receiving support from the coach, his teammates and the fans. He has no mentality to play for a big club. Atalanta may go on to win the scudetto (spoiler alert: they won’t), but the pressure there is nothing, compared to Milan. People forget that in some of Gasperini’s seasons they finished outside of top 4 and it barely made the news. These are all important factors within the everyday life of introvert footballers who can’t display their qualities on the big scene.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😭😭😭😭😭😭 The psychic analysis of a Milan fan website fool. Amazing, this is gold. You know why, stfu clown
Just because it didn’t work out with us doesn’t automatically mean it will be the same when he eventually joins a bigger club.
He was a kid coming from Belgium when he signed for a team that had just won the Scudetto. That’s quite a leap and as the ever great Maldini said, what he needed was time (maybe not with us) as it has shown.
He is a much better & more matured player now than when he joined us & barring any unforeseen unfortunate circumstances, he is only going to become much more better.
In a different system than what we use, he is far ahead of all the attackers we have currently bar Rafa & Puli.
Foul or not, one player clearly wanted the ball more than the other did. In all honesty, Theo needed to do better.
Honestly, he didn’t do much outside the goal. Not sure what all the hype is about.
Sure, CDK foul goal is the reason we’re sitting in the middle of the Serie A table and on 16th place in CL standings halfway through the season.
Snap out of it folks.
