De Ketelaere admits he has ‘a lot to improve’ but assures: “I’m ready to play”

Ahead of the clash between AC Milan and Fiorentina, scheduled for 20:45 CET, Charles De Ketelaere shared his thoughts with the media. The Belgian is in the starting XI amid the absence of Brahim Diaz, eager to shine.

De Ketelaere is yet to find the back of the net for Milan and after a tough start to his life at the club, he’s now eager to show his qualities. He has improved over the last couple of weeks and Stefano Pioli, as well as the fans, are hoping that tonight could be the night.

Speaking to MilanTV, as cited by MilanNews, the Belgian stated that he has a lot to give for the team after some less successful months. He highlighted the importance of his teammates trusting him, which will only come with quality.

On the game…

“I’m fine. I’ve had difficult moments, but I’m ready to play. For me, it’s important to improve and aim to do better for the team. I’m glad they have faith in me.”

On his role…

“I have a lot to improve, but I think I have a lot to give to the team.”

Do you feel Maldini’s closeness?

“Yes, of course. It’s good that they trust me, I hope I can do what they think of me.”

How are you physically?

“I changed a few things to feel better, it’s working.”

Milan are currently on a four-game winning streak and will be looking to extend that this evening. It won’t be an easy clash against La Viola, though, as we can all remember from last season when the Rossoneri lost 4-3 at Artemio Franchi.
