CM: Potential deadline day move off as Milan refuse to pay €12m price for winger

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are not expected to get a deal for Dario Osorio done before the end of the window because of the high asking price, a report claims.

According to the latest from Calciomercato.com, Osorio is pushing for a transfer to the Rossoneri, but directors Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara have not found an agreement with Club Universidad de Chile over the 19-year-old.

The distance between offer and demand at the moment is very high as Milan have put forward a bid worth €5m plus bonuses and 20% of the proceeds from a potential future resale in a bid to beat Aston Villa to his signing.

However, the Chilean club want more than double as a fixed amount and have set their asking price at €12m. At these figures, it seems nearly impossible for Milan to get

  1. Not wise anyway to splash out 12M€ on a player that wouldn’t play a minute this season as the coach thinks “he’s not ready”.

  2. The time has come, a player of 12M is “impossible to get” for Milan. I expected this, and expect more to come in the next few seasons…

  3. I understand, the budget is limited…we gotta go towards the sustainability, we can’t pay 12 M for this player. We can still give for free Kessie, Donnarumma, calhanoglu, Romagnoli and maybe Leao though. How does it work? would be nice to listen to Mr Maldini enlightening us…I don’t think I got it

    1. You need to understand the hierarchy at the club, stupid comment. How would Maldini buy players if funds are limited by the owners?????

        1. Thanks Jesus. Did I say that he should have renewed their contracts? I don’t think so.
What I know is that if you have a limited budget you might start thinking about not making a lot of gifts to your friends, you cannot afford to do that.
But you are the expert, I’m just the stupid one.
          Have a nice day Jesus

  4. This isn’t the Milan many players dream to wear our jerseys. If we can’t afford 12 m player. If we continue like this derby County will be better than us.

  5. I think we should start looking for Asian (Korean) and African markets instead of ‘just asking’. There’s always a chance to find another Son or other young talent. Otherwise we end up nowhere.

  6. Guys don’t forget Milan is a charity organisation. We buy cheap players, develop them to become superstars and sell them for free (dollarunma, kessie, romagnoli n calha). Inspiring philosophy by Milan and its owners…

  7. Players are not cheap anymore, no matter where they are coming from. It’s a big market. If Milan are not willing to negotiate something good with clubs for players they are interested in, other clubs will take them. And if we continue this way, we will be stuck with scraps. Nobody does football biz, putting into consideration injuries, fatigue, suspensions, loss of form, in view of the number of games to be played the whole season. We all are seeing it clearly.
