Mundo Deportivo: Milan and Barcelona among teams interested in Dortmund full-back

By Isak Möller -

AC Milan are always looking for opportunities on the market and while some links are more concrete than others, the Rossoneri are clearly very active. The latest player to be linked with them is Thomas Meunier, per a report.

As we are approaching January, Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara are evaluating a few players that will be available on a free transfer in the summer. Marco Sportiello is one of them, expected to replace Ciprian Tatarusanu next season (read more here).

There will also be a few players with just one year left on their contract, which in many cases will lead to a forced sale. According to Mundo Deportivo, as cited by Football Espana, Milan are keeping tabs on Dortmund full-back Thomas Meunier.

His contract will expire in the summer of 2024 and he’s almost certain to leave the German side before that, with several clubs interested. In addition to Milan, the likes of Barcelona, Man Utd, Juventus and a few other top clubs have expressed an interest.

At the age of 31, and likely with a hefty salary demand, he’s probably not a concrete option for the Rossoneri, though.

  1. Exactly what Milan needs, another right back.
Theo must have a clause in his contract that forbids Milan from signing another left back .
They’ll run him into the ground

  2. We are lucky because one of the best players in the world its still like little children and after 40 years still have passion for playing. Thanks to God for everything
