Inter could be without their captain and talisman Lautaro Martinez for the derby next month, according to reports.
Inter’s Champions League trip to Norway on Wednesday wasn’t just a disaster because of the result (the Nerazzurri lost 3-1 to Bodo/Glimt) but also because Lautaro Martinez was injured, coming off the pitch after an hour.

The Argentine striker has yet undergone his scan, and the club have published the following: “Lautaro Martinez underwent medical and instrumental tests this morning at the Humanitas Institute in Rozzano. The tests revealed a strain in the soleus muscle of his left leg. The Argentine striker’s condition will be re-evaluated next week.”
According to MilanPress, it’s unlikely the Nerazzurri captain will be available for the derby against Milan in two weeks, especially with it being a calf issue which is a delicate muscle and cannot be risked.
However, as La Gazzetta dello Sport report, the good news for Chivu is that a more serious injury like a tear has been ruled out. The Nerazzurri captain will be reevaluated next week. He’ll certainly miss the Lecce match, as well as the return match against Bodo/Glimt on Tuesday evening.
He should also miss the Genoa match and the first leg of the Coppa Italia semi-final against Como. Chivu hopes to have him available for the derby against Milan on March 8.

lol EZ
Aww too bad… UEFA ignoring inter’s complaints about Bodo’s fake pitch is the first thing that’s not gone their way all season…
I did say that Inter would come home from that match with either one or two injured players 😛 Even if he is ready against us it probably will hurt them missing him in the meantime or at least we can hope so.
I don’t fear Lautaro, the player I don’t want to see is Thuram
Oh no, that’s so sad 😐
Doesn’t matter. Lauti doesn’t show up in big games anyway.
you can say that all you want . against us he is always on target and has a good performance , only maginan saves us ,he torments our defence
He has played 21 games against AC Milan over various competitions while scoring 11 and assisting 3 times. I think he pretty much knows how to show up in at least big games against us.
He hasn’t scored against us since May ‘23. Since Pioli left basically. And back then anyone could score on that Milan.
So yeah, he hasn’t been a factor in years.
Stats are stats regardless of how they are twisted and turned and if you wanna go into details he both delivered an assist in Serie A last season and scored a goal in the super coppa italiana last year.
Either way his g/a contributions is 66% equivalent of matches played, far from bad stats.
