Deschamps on Rabiot’s lack of a club: “He has offers, he must make a choice”

France National Team coach Didier Deschamps has revealed that Adrien Rabiot has got offers from clubs and it is time for the midfielder to make a decision on his future.

Speaking to TMW (via Calciomercato.com), Deschamps was asked about a few of his usual players and their current situations in the transfer market.

Rabiot currently finds himself without a club after his contract with Juventus expired and the Bianconeri opted not to make him a new offer.

Milan were linked with Rabiot a lot whilst he was still at Juventus and those links have not gone away now that he is available for free, and a move could still come after the end of the transfer window as the restricted window will still be open.

Youssouf Fofana was the midfielder that Milan were really desperate to get and Manu Kone is still being heavily linked, but Rabiot could be an opportunistic move if fears continue to grow over the quality of Milan’s midfield options.

What is certain is that Ismael Bennacer will have to leave the club if any major midfield additions are to happen during the rest of the summer.

When asked of Rabiot’s situation, Deschamps said: “Adrien Rabiot still has some time to find a team, he has some offers and he has to make a choice. I hope he’ll be there for the next matches, I don’t have a radical position.”

  1. Advantage Milan.

Come in and play on the cheap, so you don’t miss out on the national team … with your Frenchy teammates I might add …

    1. Don’t be carried away by this young and full of promises by all this young stars, how many of them live up to the expectation and the promises shown just few. A reliable player and tested player is what Milan need right now. Not young that will not grow up forever and full of promises that the expectation of the fans will be dashed at the end of the day.

        1. It might sound like a deal in numbers, but as a status within the dressing room, 7+ mil salary would shake the balance. But I am pretty sure Rabiot would accept half of it, as PSG are not particularly comparable to other teams as finances.

  2. Rather than paying 20m plus 4m/year salary.
Pay him 15m signing bonus and 5m/year salary

Like this he get the salary he want and Milan gets a top player. Even we can sell him in next 2years if there is better offer.

It will be better signing than Morata.

But I am sure Milan management run away with 15m commission.

    1. He want 10m euro nett / season . Juve offer him 7m euro nett but he reject that offer and juve move on buying other player. What make you think he will accept ACM 5m euro nett offer ? Remember in PSG he choose not playing or training with senior team 1 years just for go free transfer for big money salary & comission, his target are big money not playing time or regular starter
