Sky: Clause, rival interest and Milan’s stance – details emerge on Daniel Maldini’s future

Some significant details have emerged regarding the future of Daniel Maldini, who was among Monza’s brightest players against AC Milan last night.

According to Sky (via Calciomercato.com), Milan are entitled to 50% of the proceeds from any future resale of Maldini, and it is Atalanta, Inter and Juventus that are showing an interest in signing the attacking midfielder.

The report adds that despite the inclusion of a significant resale percentage, Milan have not secured any kind of buy-back clause or right of first refusal to make a possible return easy, nor do they have to be informed about bids of other teams to give them a chance to match it.

Maldini is under contract with the Brianzoli until June 2026 but does not currently represent a transfer target in the mind of the Rossoneri directors, despite the asking price set for his sale being quite attractive.

The new details reported by Sky state that for €12m Daniel Maldini could be purchased by any Serie A club without Monza being able to put up any resistance, while €15m would be needed for foreign clubs.

However, it is also worth noting that it would be a full capital gain for Monza, who only a few months ago bought him from Milan for a few low fee.
