Di Canio believes San Siro ‘can make the difference’ for Milan against Napoli

By Isak Möller -

AC Milan will face Napoli in the Champions League quarter-finals and the Serie A league leaders are the favourites to make it through. However, the San Siro can make all the difference, as Di Canio argues.

All three Italian teams got lucky in the Champions League draw as they ended up on the same side of the knockout tree. As a result, the winner of Milan-Napoli will face Inter or Benfica in the semi-finals.

It’s not surprising, therefore, that the trio have started to dream about a spot in the final. Speaking to Tuttosport, as cited by SempreMilan.it, former player Paolo Di Canio shared his thoughts on Milan-Napoli and who will make it through.

“Napoli have the enthusiasm and I don’t expect a decline. However, they have a lot to lose because they are stronger and everyone now expects them to reach the final. Milan, however, won’t start beaten. The Rossoneri have European DNA and San Siro, which in these cases can make the difference,” he stated.

The first leg is scheduled for April 12 and will be played at San Siro, while the second leg will be played a week later. San Siro will be sold out and the interest has been so big that tickets might not even go on general sale (season tickets holders and members are the first two sale phases).

  1. Yes it is champions leauge anything can happen, but if we some how win this one that might give our manegment jet another false sign that everything is fine an they will not do anything in the summer again for the 3rd time in a row… And good luck next season with Rebič on LW and Mesias on RW with 85 years old striker pairing and Pobega/ Krunič midfield

  2. San Siro my ass! He thinks Napoli is Inter.

With the way these PUSSIES are playing, if Napoli don’t win by at least 4 goals, then they failed in my opinion.

Milan, always leaning on nostalgia, but never having the foresight to move forward.

    * I SUPPORT ONLY AC MILAN – THE CLUB, THE ENTITY. EVERYTHING ELSE IS TRANSIT, AND WILL PASS AWAY… SOON*
