Di Marzio: After Krunic the renewal of Tonali – announcement expected tomorrow

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are ready to follow up the renewal of Rade Krunic with the announcement of Sandro Tonali’s extension, according to a report.

A statement on the official website has confirmed that the Bosnian has extended his deadline until 2025. He joined Milan in the summer of 2019 and has gone on to play 91 matches in all competitions for the Rossoneri, becoming known as a utility man for Pioli.

Di Marzio reports that with the transfer market having now been closed for a week, the Milan management believe is time to lock down the players already in the squad with several contract renewals.

Today it was the turn of Krunic but tomorrow it will also be the turn of Sandro Tonali, who will renew until 2027. He arrived at his boyhood club on an initial loan from Brescia in summer 2020, and with the Rossoneri he has so far collected 87 appearances and 5 goals plus 4 assists.

The club know that he is very attached to the shirt but he has also proven through his performances that he is deserving of a renewal for another five years, with a pay rise too.
