Di Marzio: Agent of promising striker remains in Italy as Milan prepare offer

By Isak Möller -

AC Milan have met the agent of Alejo Velzi and could soon table their first offer for the promising forward. In fact, the agent in question has decided to stay in Italy, a report claims.

According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Milan had a first meeting with the 19-year-old’s agent in the last few days and the agent is still in the city. Therefore, the Rossoneri are expected to meet him again and possibly table their first offer.

Veliz has a release clause of €15m but there appears to be room for negotiating, although it should be mentioned that Torino and Nottingham Forrest also are interested. This season, the striker has scored 11 goals in 23 games for Rosario Central.

Yesterday, the president of Rosario admitted that they can afford to keep him until December thanks to one of their recent sales. In the face of a good offer, however, the Argentine side might decide to accept.

Depending on the future of Lorenzo Colombo, Milan could perhaps leave the player on loan at Rosario for six months.

  1. We missed out on Alvarez and Enzo on the cheap when we were heavily linked with both, so I least our scouting seems to be working down there recently. So if they believe he’s the real deal, let’s get it done.

  2. It’s a testament to Giroud that he’s going to emerge from yet another transfer window as Milan’s #1 striker. Replacing someone as good as him would just be too expensive.
