Di Marzio: Bayer Leverkusen star on Milan’s list as €40-45m investment is planned

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan know that they will need to invest a significant amount on a new striker in the summer window and Gianluca Di Marzio has relayed some of the names.

Given that Olivier Giroud and Luka Jovic are both on expiring contracts and the former seems destined to join Los Angeles FC in the MLS, Milan are almost certain to sign a new centre-forward who can lead the line for years to come.

Regarding Milan’s upcoming summer transfer window and the need to further strengthen the attack in view of the next season, the well-known journalist Gianluca Di Marzio (via MilanNews) spoke on Sky about what the strategy of the management is.

He claims that there are some ‘interesting players’ who are on the list of Geoffrey Moncada and co., starting with Joshua Zirkzee who is also attracting interest from rivals Juventus too.

RB Leipzig’s Benjam Sesko, Lille’s Jonathan David and Bayer Leverkusen’s Victor Boniface are on the Rossoneri’s board of potential profiles to invest in.

Speaking of investing, Milan know that they will have to dedicate a large chunk of the summer budget to the signing of a new striker, an amount that he believes will be in the €40-45m range.

  1. i mentioned this guy name allover the summer but Milan wasted their time on ekitike and the likes and now following him with more fund
I don’t know if Milan officials do read our comments here

    1. Of course they don’t read here… It’s not their official website. More like news website made by fans/Internet journalist interested to Milan.

    2. Lmao milan didn’t sign Ekitike, genius. If you’re some sort of guru maybe you should have called Milan.

But noooo… you’re some dude who believes every single rumor.

  2. Not happening, Alonso isn’t going to stay unless he has guarantees of them keeping the team together for their Champions’ League attempt

  3. Yall are saying we supposed to get him earlier… but do you think Pioli would give him a chance and put him ahead of Giroud in pecking order since we play with only one striker? No, he would never do that. So he would not be current Boniface if he joined us earlier

    1. You speak of Pioli as if you were his brother, instead you tend to ignore other facts like that we were about to buy Thuram last year, the size of budget we had, etc.

I think your conclusions completely missed the mark.

  4. Disappointing. Motta has the hallmarks of being a great coach. He’s shown good, consistent progress, he’s ready for the next level. If the plan is to go for Klopp or Guardiola in 2025, then not pursuing Motta is a good decision.
