AC Milan are keen on parting ways with Alexis Saelemaekers this summer but with time running out, it’s not an easy task for the Rossoneri. Bologna have now joined the race, though, according to a report.
Saelemaekers made a few appearances during the pre-season but was left out of the squad for the season opener against Bologna. On our Substack, we have explained the entire situation and what really led to the exclusion (read here).
According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Bologna have entered the race for Saelemaekers ‘with great force’. Their star Riccardo Orsolino had been linked with a move this summer but ended up renewing his contract, meaning he might not free up the money expected.
Therefore, as highlighted by the report, the costs of the Saelemaekers operation are considered high by the Rossoblu and that makes the situation difficult. It remains to be seen if an opening can be found in the negotiations.
