Di Marzio: Bournemouth goalkeeper the favourite to replace Reina at AC Milan

By Isak Möller -

AC Milan are currently at work to find a replacement for Pepe Reina, who is all set to join Aston Villa for the rest of the season. The Rossoneri have already evaluated several profiles.

According to Gianluca Di Marzio, the choice seems to have fallen on Asmir Begovic. Out of the profiles that Milan have studied in recent days, the Bournemouth man seems to be the one capable of providing the most guarantees.

Therefore, the potential transfer has gathered steam in the last few hours. The Rossoneri are yet to make a final decision on the matter, but evaluations are currently being made. In any case, it shouldn’t take too long before they have a new shot-stopper.

The Bosnian goalkeeper is in the Guinness world record book after scoring from 92.6 meters against Southampton in the 2013/14 season of Premier League. Certainly, he would be a very good backup for Gigio Donnarumma.
