Di Marzio: Burnley’s deadline day offer for Origi unlikely to be accepted

By Oliver Fisher -

Burnley want to sign Divock Origi before the transfer window closes but they are unlikely to see their offer accepted by AC Milan, it is claimed.

According to the latest update from Gianluca Di Marzio on his website, Burnley are insisting with their attempts to sign Origi but the offer that they have put forward does not involve them fully covering his salary.

Therefore, it seems difficult and unlikely that Milan will accept these terms and at the moment it is far from being an advanced negotiation.

It was reported by Sky this morning that Origi was expected to fly into the UK today after his representatives held talks with Burnley and Nottingham Forest last night over what would be a loan deal.

Whether Forest or even Fulham – another club linked by Sky – manage to get a late offer accepted now remains to be seen, otherwise Milan might have to bring him back into the fold.
