Di Marzio: Castillejo will not leave Milan despite late attempt by Hertha Berlin

By Oliver Fisher -

Samu Castillejo will not complete a deadline day move from AC Milan to Hertha Berlin despite reports suggesting the contrary, it is claimed.

German source BILD (via MilanNews) reported how Hertha recently found an agreement with Milan for the transfer of Castillejo. They were adamant that the Spaniard would move to Germany with a dry loan formula, with no option or obligation to buy included in the operation.

According to Sky Sport journalist Gianluca Di Marzio (via MilanNews), the final attempt by the German club to land the 26-year-old former Villarreal winger did not end with white smoke. He remarks that Castillejo will not be on his way to the German capital as the market closed for Bundesliga sides recently, with a late attempt by Hertha proving to be unsuccessful.

It has been a Samu saga on deadline day amid reports of a fallout between his agents, but it seems now that he is set to stay.
