AC Milan have been forced to look into alternative targets for the right wing role given how much Villarreal want to sell Samuel Chukwueze, a report claims.
According to the latest update from Gianluca Di Marzio of Sky, the number one target for the right side remains Chukwueze but Villarreal are making things difficult despite the fact he only has a year left on his deal.
So far the LaLiga club have been asking for €40m to sell the Nigeria international. Negotiations are expected to try and lower the demands of the Yellow Submarine, but it may not be easy given the rumours of strong competition.
If Milan were priced out of a deal then the other names on the wish list are Reiss Nelson – whose contract with Arsenal is set to expire in just over a week – plus Jeremy Doku from Stade Rennais and Ismaila Sarr from Watford.
Well that can hardly be a surprise. Doku could be fun if he were an option, but I don’t think Rennes would let him leave for a much different price; problem these days is that any club knows English teams have so much money they don’t mind paying 6 top class wingers to sit on their bench.
There’s only so many players that the EPL can buy. They still can only register 25 players for league and UCL. It only inflates the value of top talents.
Doku seems like a good move. HE had some injury problems, but now he seems ok, and he’s on last 2 years of contract. We might get a good deal there, but it’s risky.
