Di Marzio: Fonseca pushes for Milan to sign Abraham – Fullkrug off the table

Paulo Fonseca is pushing for AC Milan to sign Tammy Abraham from AS Roma this summer, especially now that Niclas Fullkrug is no longer an option.

As reported by Gianluca Di Marzio, the Portuguese coach would like another striker option for the new season and he thinks that Abraham is the best of the remaining linked names.

Alvaro Morata’s arrival was good news for Fonseca but he is still only left with the Spaniard and then Luka Jovic, and perhaps Francesco Camarda at points through the season.

He would understandably like another established goalscorer and many of the originally linked names have gone elsewhere. Fullkrug is set to sign for West Ham United in the Premier League, and Artem Dovbyk has landed at Rome Ciampino to sign for Roma.

The Ukrainian arriving at Roma means there is even more chance of the Giallorossi selling Abraham, and Fonseca wants his club to pounce.

The one problem for Milan and Fonseca is that they may need Jovic to leave the club before they can financially justify signing another striker.

If Milan struggle to have two quality strikers in the team, there is even more chance that Camarda will get first-team minutes through the season.
