AC Milan boss Stefano Pioli is ready to rest a number of players for the visit of Sparta Praha to San Siro on Thursday night, a report claims.
The Rossoneri are in a difficult moment both in terms of the hectic nature of their fixture schedule and also because of the fact they have a number of players out like Ante Rebic (who returned to training today), Matteo Gabbia, Mateo Musacchio, Leo Duarte and Jens Petter Hauge.
Pioli confirmed in an interview with Milan TV after Monday’s 3-3 draw with Roma that he will be rotating his starting XI for Thursday’s game against Sparta at San Siro, in which the Rossoneri will look to make it two wins from two in the group stages of the Europa League.
“There will be changes on Thursday also because on Sunday there will be a difficult match at 12:30. This year the most difficult matches will be those like against Udinese due to our commitments, we will have little time to prepare it,” he said.
According to Di Marzio, a ‘large turnover’ is expected and Pioli is expected to hand starts to Diogo Dalot, Sandro Tonali, Rade Krunic and Brahim Diaz at least, in order to let players rest.
