Di Marzio: Four players rejoin the squad at Milanello as Kjaer returns early

By Oliver Fisher -

Simon Kjaer is already training with the squad at Milanello as he chose not to go on vacation after Denmark’s World Cup exit, a report claims.

According to Gianluca Di Marzio (via PianetaMilan), Milan held a training session in the gym this morning and they will do work on the field this afternoon. Four players joined the group who have been absent for various reasons in Pierre Kalulu, Malick Thiaw and Marko Lazetić, plus Kjaer.

Kalulu had been representing the Under 21s of France, Thiaw was with the same age group for Germany and Lazetic was with the Under 19s of Serbia, but all are back at Milanello now.

As mentioned, Pioli got Kjær back too. The defender played just 65 minutes in total with Denmark at the Qatar World Cup (against Tunisia) and immediately joined the squad again, thus deciding not to take the few days of vacation that he was entitled to.
