Di Marzio: Frosinone expected to sign young Milan defender on loan

By Isak Möller -

Frosinone have expressed their interest in Davide Bartesaghi and will officially ask AC Milan for a loan tomorrow, a report claims. The 18-year-old is thus expected to leave the Rossoneri for the remainder of the season.

Bartesaghi has made seven appearances for the first team this season, registering 77 minutes on the pitch. For a player of his age, he needs more consistent playing time and that’s why Milan are willing to send him out on loan.

According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Frosinone are keen on the youngster and will ask Milan for the loan tomorrow (Monday). The Rossoneri have already given their go-ahead to the departure so once the official request has been made, the rest of the process should be swift.

Milan are expected to sign one more defender before the January window closes, having already brought back Matteo Gabbia, so there will be no room for Bartesaghi. A loan move makes sense for all parties involved, in other words, and one can only hope that the youngster will be used by Frosinone.

Yesterday, Bartesaghi featured in Milan Primavera’s 1-0 defeat to Atalanta and you can read the match report here. It was a tough one for Ignazio Abate’s boys, especially since they had a good starting XI to rely on.
