Di Marzio: Gazidis at Milan’s training sessions instead of Boban and Maldini

By Isak Möller -

The revolution at Milan is now materializing. Zvone certainly won’t be part of the Rossoneri leadership for next season and as for Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara, the two are also at risk amid the current situation.

As reported by Gianluca Di Marzio, the directors weren’t present at Milanello yesterday to support the team. Instead, CEO Ivan Gazidis turned up, as was the case today at San Siro, where the team is training ahead of the Genoa clash.

Based on how it has been this season, this isn’t very common at all. In many ways, it’s the first sign of the handover that we will experience at the end of the season. The revolution will go ahead, with Gazidis at the helm of the ‘new Milan’.

The Rossoneri’s encounter with Genoa will kick off at 15:00 CET on Sunday afternoon, and the game will be played behind closed doors. It will be interesting to see how the players can cope without a crowd.
