Di Marzio: Hauge could join Milan in December but Man Utd and Red Bull clubs are keen

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have got the go-ahead from Bodo/Glimt to try and complete a deal for Jens Petter Hauge, but there is still competition.

On Friday morning we reported exclusively about Milan’s interest in the Norwegian youngster and that the Rossoneri are expected to make a serious move for the player in the coming days, having already contacted Hauge’s agent.

Meanwhile, Fabrizio Romano offered an update in the early hours of this morning. He claims that the 20-year-old is definitely going to join Milan. Romano adds: “Here we go can arrive at the start of next week I guess…”

According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Bodo/Glimt has already given the green light for transfer, but Milan have yet to beat the competition from other clubs such as Manchester United, RB Leipzig and Red Bull Salzburg.

Then there is the issue about when Hauge will sign. The Norwegian season ends in mid-December and Milan could choose to let the 20-year-old stay there until then instead of an immediate purchase.

This could be a solution that suits all parties as Hauge would get to lift the league title with his hometown club and he would get more playing time to aid his development before joining.
