Di Marzio: Huge blow for Spurs as Milan striker closes in on €27m Hertha move

By Oliver Fisher -

In a sensational twist, Krzysztof Piatek is closing in on a move to Bundesliga side Hertha Berlin despite strong links with Spurs, a report claims.

Piatek started during Milan’s 4-2 extra time win over Torino in the Coppa Italia on Tuesday night but subbed off after 65 minutes and was hammered by the Italian press for his performance.

La Gazzetta dello Sport are suggesting it could have been Piatek’s last match in a Milan shirt as Hertha Berlin have made an approach to sign Piatek, but at the moment the most likely destination seems to be Spurs.

Transfer source Louis Girardi reported earlier on Wednesday that the Poland international’s agent has informed Milan that his client has agreed personal terms with Spurs ahead of a potential move.

However, according to Gianluca Di Marzio, the Poland international is moving closer and closer towards a move to the German capital.

The journalist claims there will be a meeting later to seek total agreement, with Hertha having put an offer of €27m plus bonuses on the table.
