In a rather surprise twist, the build-up to AC Milan’s game against Newcastle United in the Champions League has become dominated by Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s presence.
Rumours went into overdrive about a possible return when Ibrahimovic’s car pulled up at the training ground yesterday and he was spotted speaking to head coach Stefano Pioli and CEO Giorgio Furlani while the team did their morning session.
Gianluca Di Marzio reports that this morning, Tuesday 19 September, there was a first meeting between Gerry Cardinale and Zlatan Ibrahimovic at the Hotel Portrait in Corso Venezia in Milan.
The journalist mentions that the Swede has not yet made a decision about his future and has said that he will need time to think about all the scenarios.
Meanwhile, Zlatan will be a guest in the stands at San Siro for the Newcastle Champions League game. He will be alongside Furlani as a guest of the club.
