Speaking on Sky (via MilanNews), Di Marzio gave an update about Ibrahimovic’s intentions for the future, confirming that – based on his impressions after the last few times he has spoken to him – he wants to carry on playing.
There have been physical setbacks, including the last one during his warm-up before he was set to come on against Lecce, but the Swede is not giving off the impression that he will wait and see what happened. Instead, he ‘wants to keep playing’ as per the journalist.
He certainly wants to continue playing otherwise he ‘wouldn’t have agreed to return to the national team’, but it remains to be seen whether that is with Milan or at another club.
Di Marzio adds that ‘maybe things will change’, while the idea of continuing his adventure with Milan remains up in the air for the time being.
