Di Marzio provides information on three key Milan targets for the summer

Italian transfer journalist Gianluca Di Marzio has provided an update to fans on three of the players that AC Milan have been heavily linked with in recent weeks.

Speaking whilst on Sky Sport 24 (via Milan News), the journalist discussed Lazio’s Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, Chelsea’s Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Eintracht Frankfurt’s Daichi Kamada.

Milinkovic-Savic is a player that is out of contract in 2024 and it seems very realistic that he may be leaving the club, but it is not clear that he is being negotiated with yet.

“That the player may be leaving yes, because if he doesn’t renew he has a year left on his contract, so yes. That Milan may like him, yes, as any kind of club at international level likes him. I don’t have any evidence now of a negotiation,” Di Marzio said.

Di Marzio also explained that Milan are negotiating with both Loftus-Cheek and Kamada but everyone is aware that they need a striker first and foremost rather than multiple midfielders.

“Milan is now negotiating for Loftus-Cheek and is negotiating for Kamada, who are two midfielders. They have to get a forward and they are evaluating various profiles,” he said.

As he went on to explain, there is some juggling for Milan to do because they could still keep Brahim Diaz and then it is not clear where the new midfielders would go if more than one of them was to be signed.

“So that makes three transactions already. Then you have to understand whether or not you keep Brahim Diaz. Because if you keep Brahim Diaz and also take Kamada then where do you put Milinkovic-Savic? Either Milinkovic-Savic, Diaz or Kamada: two out of three, definitely not three out of three,” Di Marzio explained.
