Di Marzio: Kalulu green lights Juventus move – figures of deal change again

Pierre Kalulu is having an interesting summer, and it could end in him departing AC Milan, as recent reports have stated.

With Milan recruiting in defence, there was a time when Paulo Fonseca saw the Frenchman as a potential right-back to compete with Davide Calabria, and reports suggested that the trial was going very well, with Kalulu being seen as a viable option by Fonseca.

However, the club elected to restart talks with Tottenham Hotspur for Emerson Royal – which positively concluded this week – and Kalulu was back to being considered as a central defender, who could cover at right-back if needed.

For Kalulu, though, he is probably fourth or fifth in the depth rankings, so his playing time would probably be limited this season, and Juventus have taken note of this in recent days, attempting to make a move to sign him.

Today, Gianluca Di Marzio has reported that the French defender has given the move the ‘go-ahead’ and a closure of talks between the two clubs will likely be met today, and there is believed to be another change in figures.

It was believed that the loan deal would be worth €3.5 million – which has not changed – but the permanent option would be around €18m. However, Di Marzio suggests that the option to buy will instead be worth €12m with a further €3m available in bonuses, and the 10% future clause would remain.

      1. There is the difference between agreeing to join the club and pushing to join a club. Pushing is what Koopmeiners is doing to Atalanta, skiping matches and refusing to train. Kalulu doesnt make any problems. He skiped Monza match just because ongoing talks.

        1. “There is the difference…”…
          “Koopmeiners …skiping matches ”
          “Kalulu skiped Monza match”

          Yeah. Huge difference. 🙂

          1. Yes there is a big difference but there is no sense to explain it to a stupidly-proven people like you. Now go and read how he is doing a training with our team and stop being 24/7 clown here.

    1. Kalulu is 24, not that young in current standard. While Emerson is 25. Looks like his place was simply removed by Emerson. Which was a direct request from Fonseca. Personally not convinced with Emerson, but let’s see how this pans out.

All in all this is a much needed sale. From our crowded squad.

      1. Previously there was news that Kalulu was tried in the right back position in training but when on the American tour Fonseca did not put Kalulu in the right back position, maybe Fonseca thought he was not suitable and chose Emerson.

  1. Anytime I see headline of Kalulu leaving…….sigh !
Wish the obvious solution to his situation, which is play him in his original RB position, instead of signing Royal, would have been priority instead. Such a bummer , and to Juve too

  2. Lmao droped to 3,5+12 mil € ,the best thing is just gift him to them for free if you are so compasion with their CB problems…they dont have a CB on bench a few days before the game, only Djalo on bench, you should use the pressure and rise the price not drop it! They have money, they offered 45 for Koop, they offered 30 for Todibo, wtf is wrong with you !?

    1. I’m sorry but I’m what word is Kalulu worth more than 15M? One year left on his contract, last two years have been injury riddled.

  3. Loaning/Selling Kalulu and paying for Emerson Royal isnt a great move in my opinion. Downgrade move from our master management

  4. I support the move, for the benefit of both club and the player. Kalulu is going to find it hard to amass 15 starts in all competitions if he decides to remain at Milan. A new challenge would do him good I guess.

We seriously need to sale some players.. we still need to sale atleast two among Adil, Bennacer and Pobegga.

We also need to facilitate the Chiesa/Saelemaeker swap. New blood and new challenge. It’s a worthy gamble.

  5. Kalulu was seen as an option for the fullback. I believe from start Fonseca considered his primary role as a CB seeing almost all of his minutes in preseason friendlies were played in the center. Why wouldn’t he tried him more at fullback before playing Futuro players there? He’s going to be used as a more defensive fullback on occasions, mostly during games. Even before Royals arrival it wasn’t looking like Fonseca’s ideal approach will be starting with a defensive fullback. I don’t know where the hopes of seeing Kalulu as a fullback generates from.

  6. Honestly Kalulu was in so deep bad form lately that I don’t see the move as bad, but I don’t like the conditions…. it should be a permanent sale and not a loan with option. Hope for the best for him

  7. Rubentus sold us a muppet like bonnuci for 40mln and we sell them Kalulul for 15 mln…just a small clue why juventus have 3 stars on their shirt and we have only 1.They are not only thieves but also wiseguys. When we are just dum

  8. These online pundit that think Kalulu is miles better than Royal… wake up.

Kalulu hasn’t show anything for 2 years now, his only good showing was the period when he star in our scudetto season. Its 2 years without any good indication from him, just bad performances coupled with injury. And he is already 24… not that young. He need to play regularly to get back to form, but we cant afford to start him if we have aspiration for scudetto.

He was tried at training to be RB and fonseca himself say he can be option there, but why he never played at RB during our friendlies? I think its simple, the experiment isnt succesful at training so he simply discard it.

Im not that satisfied with Emerson Royal, i seriously think if Florenzi didnt get injured for a long time we wont sign him, but i think he is still better than Kalulu at RB. All our recent buy from England were successful – At least give him chance before condemn him as bad signing.

  9. Juve sell Huijsen for 20M – a player who is unproven and has never started in UCL or anything

We GIVE Kalulu ON LOAN for 3.5M with an OPTION and NOT Obligation to buy??? LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLO

Ya Furlani is “cooking” again 🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡
