Di Marzio: Milan convinced by latest offer to Kessie; Real Madrid man a focal point of project

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan consider Brahim Diaz to be one of the key figures of their project, it is claimed, and have made an offer to Franck Kessie that they believe is more than enough.

Gianluca Di Marzio spoke on Sky Italia (via MilanNews) about Milan’s renewal situation, claiming that it was a choice for the club not to extend Gianluigi Donnarumma and Hakan Calhanoglu at the amount they were requesting because the management made the decision not to go beyond certain limits.

The Rossoneri did not make low offers, just as they have not done with Franck Kessie to whom they made a very important proposal. Milan are convinced that they have done more than their best to meet the Ivorian’s requests.

Meanwhile, Brahim Diaz is at the centre of the project which is one of the factors that convinced him to leave Real Madrid again, rejoining an environment to which he is very attached. The Spaniard feels more like a leader on the pitch, which bodes well for the hopes of making his loan a permanent.

  1. Yep. Sell him. No point in paying 6M€/y to a bench player. Kessie isn’t going to replace Bennacer or Tonali anytime soon with the displays he’s shown this season.

  2. 6m for a bench-quality player.
but if he does sign, we can expect better workrate from him. Players that doesnt think too much about complicated things tends to do better

  3. Dollaruma is typical example of he that laugh last laugh better. He was all smiles when he left for psg but even if he finally become the first choice in psg he won’t have the career he would have had in milan. He went from world class goalkeeper to world best benched goalkeeper. He should ask kepa. Any mistake PSG fans will ask for another keeper because there is money to burn and they know he isn’t a loyal player. So I expect kessie to learn from hakan and dollaruma. Hakan was formally an invaluable member of Milan first team but I can’t say now because I don’t care if he is benched or treated as a whore which he is. Dollaruma gave us Mike maignan, hakan gave us diaz, kessie could either continue to be an invaluable member of the first team or he could give us a better tonali. To me milan are having the last now. If kylian mbappe who is home bred, parisboy, world class want to leave PSG with world-class salary to play in either spain or england to boast his career I don’t think PSG is home. Because to me home cooked meal with love is better than oyster in a yatch with tears. Kessie should know we have ben, tona, baka, pobega, adli, other youngsters in the feeder to take his shirt. So we are already covered least I forget pioli son too.
