Di Marzio: Kirovski promotion ‘not out of the question’ as Milan pressure mounts

Given the difficulties AC Milan are experiencing with hiring a new director, Jovan Kirovski could be promoted from his current gig with Milan Futuro.

Milan have been evaluating several director candidates lately. Earlier this week, however, it seemed they had made their decision by moving full steam ahead with Markus Krösche. Sadly, though, Eintracht Frankfurt have made that very difficult.

As a result of this, the Rossoneri remain without a director/Head of Football and might need to look at some internal solutions. Yesterday, Corriere della Sera reported that Kirovski could be one of them, despite not being liked by the fans.

Promotion could happen

Gianluca Di Marzio spoke about the situation live on Sky Italia last night, as cited by MilanNews, and he echoed that report. In fact, he said ‘it is not out of the question’ that Kirovski could be promoted to the first team, while being supported by additional internal solutions.

It should be noted that this would be more of a temporary solution, rather than a permanent one, as Milan are still keen on hiring a proper director. Kirovski also doesn’t have the sporting director degree yet, even if he’s currently studying to receive the FIGC stamp of approval.

Either way, a promotion of Kirovski (who hasn’t even been that good for the Futuro) would truly highlight the case at the club right now.

  1. There is no Kirovski, there is only Kirobrimovic.

I think it’s too dystopian to actually happen, isn’t it?

    ISN’T IT???????

        1. The reality of this is getting closer. Maybe not as extreme as you suggest, but games getting abandoned, ‘tourist’ blockades, points deductions…all within the realms of possibility at this point.

          1. Boycott of merch, poor attendance, bigger tensions with th curva… I think their clock is ticking and this move would be like shooting yourself in the foot

          2. Sadly, very little of that will actually happen. What the clown cares about is the subscriptions and make no mistake about it – they will be sold out. Protests would matter very little.

  2. This is the guy that brought Ibra to Galaxy. Now he’s returning the favour. At the expense of our success.

A real Milan legend as some here like to call him.

  3. What a disaster.

While Gerry obviously knows nothing about running a football club his business acumen should indicate that he appreciates the value of hiring competent people.

    Or maybe not…..

  4. He’s done so well with the Futuro up until now. Why not give him a shot at our massive club?! Can’t see this going nowhere but up

    (fyi sarcasm heavily included)
