Di Marzio: Lawyers at work drafting contracts ahead of Ibrahimovic’s return

By Oliver Fisher -

Work is continuing to bring Zlatan Ibrahimovic back to AC Milan in a managerial capacity and RedBird Capital’s lawyers are working on drafting up his contract, a report claims.

According to Gianluca Di Marzio, there is no imminent announcement regarding his return, but the lawyers of Ibrahimovic and those of the RedBird fund that own Milan are working on drafting the contract that will formalise his return.

Ibrahimovic will return to Milan as some kind of manager, with the official announcement expected to arrive in November. After hanging up his boots at the end of last season, the Swede will return to work with the Rossoneri, but in a different capacity.

There are still doubts regarding the role that Zlatan will play at the club but he is not expected to formally enter the club’s organisational chart, but instead will have a broader role which will include liaising with Gerry Cardinale.

This seems to be what was outlined in the last meeting between the Swede and Cardinale. At the end of the discussion, Ibrahimovic left the hotel in his car in which he was smiling but did not want to make any statements.
