Di Marzio: Liverpool striker’s arrival in Italy to sign for Milan delayed – the reason

Divock Origi’s arrival in Italy and subsequent medical will be slightly delayed because of a slight muscle problem, according to a report.

According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Origi will remain in England for another week because he wants to undergo treatments for the injury that had kept him out of the last two matches of the season, against Wolves in the Premier League and against Real Madrid in the Champions League final.

After he has fully healed, he will fly to Italy before carrying out medical examinations with Milan. In the meantime the Rossoneri are preparing and formalising the contract so that it can be signed when he arrives.

The Belgian made 175 appearances for Liverpool and scored 41 goals, winning the Champions League, Premier League, FA Cup and League Cup in his time there and earning a reputation for being the man for the big occasion, netting in the Merseyside derby, in UCL semi-finals and finals.
