Di Marzio: Lukaku’s Milan contact one reason behind Inter pulling out of pursuit

By Euan Burns -

The contact between Romelu Lukaku and AC Milan in the past few weeks is one of the reasons that Inter have ended their pursuit of the Belgian forward, a report claims.

As has been reported by Gianluca Di Marzio (via Milan News), Inter did not take kindly to the fact that Lukaku’s entourage spoke with Milan and also Juventus to discuss a possible move.

Lukaku was on loan at Inter from Chelsea last season and many assumed that he would then sign permanently if a deal could be struck with Chelsea.

He is now destined not to play for Inter again as they have pulled out of the race. Milan are technically still in the frame but any links between the Rossoneri and Lukaku have always been treated with scepticism.

It seems that if the Belgian is to stay in Italy, it will be with Juventus if they can offload Dusan Vlahovic.

    1. Seems like Juventus will sell Vlahovic and buy Lukaku haha I know some Juve fans here in Italy and they’re mad because Allegri is still here and he reportedly wants Lukaku. Their only hope is that they can focus on the championship because of the exclusion from European competitions.

  1. Just stop the drama. Bring Retegui on 12M to deputize Giroud and Bring Dominguez on loan with option to buy to fill Tonali’s gap. We are set to go. We have scouted the entire window and gained little. Time to stop and finalize maturely.

  2. Any player who plays for inter do not want to play for milan ,but players from milan go to inter willingly and even want to mock milan ,y is it so

    1. calhanoglu is only one recently, don’t forget pirlo was an inter academy grad, seedorf was also an inter player. Milan got some legends from inter
