Di Marzio: Milan begin talks with Schalke over €30m defender after meeting agent

By Isak Möller -

The search for a centre-back continues, with just a few days left of the transfer window. Milan have been linked with several players in recent weeks, but it seems they have found their primary target.

As reported by Gianluca Di Marzio, while Diogo Dalot is on his way to Milan to complete his move to the club, the agents of Ozan Kabak were seen leaving Casa Milan. The Rossoneri have identified the 20-year-old as a good reinforcement.

Following the meeting, Milan will now begin negotiations with Schalke 04 to discuss the formula and figures. According to MilanNews.it, the German side are asking for €30m while the Rossoneri won’t go beyond €15-20m.

Therefore, it remains to be seen if the parties can reach an agreement. It’s clear, though, that Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara are working hard to secure a centre-back before the window closes on Monday. Little time, but certainly possible.
