Milan have been very active at the start of this transfer window, negotiating on several fronts to reinforce the squad. Though their first signing is yet to arrive, it seems like they are getting close now.
It’s no secret that the Rossoneri are looking for a centre-back on the market, in advanced negotiations with Strasbourg over Mohamed Simakan. As was confirmed to us, the Frenchman isn’t injured and wants to leave the club this month.
However, if that doesn’t pan out, they have a plan B. According to Gianluca Di Marzio (via MilanNews), who spoke on Sky Italia this evening, Milan have added Fikayo Tomori to their list of alternative centre-back targets.
The 23-year-old has made just one appearance for Chelsea this season and a transfer could do him well. It remains to be seen, though, if it would be a loan deal or a permanent signing. Either way, Simakan remains ahead.
